Public Release of Research Information
Research involving Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Federal Contract Information (FCI), export-controlled information, or other sponsor-restricted information must not be posted, processed, or stored on publicly accessible information systems.
Researchers are responsible for reviewing publications, presentations, websites, repositories, and other public communications to ensure they do not disclose CUI, FCI, or other restricted information.
When sponsor or regulatory restrictions apply, researchers should coordinate with the Office of Research & Innovation before publicly releasing research information.
If restricted information is inadvertently disclosed, researchers must immediately notify the Office of Research & Innovation and the Office of Information Technology so appropriate corrective actions can be taken.
